Does anyone know how/where to go to print a list of songs on Media Player?

Thanks,
Woodman

Woodman,
That seems to be a general problem for a lot of people. Too bad the microsoft folks didn't build something in that would do that.

There is an easy way to do it by using a program called Karen's Directory Printer. It can print the name of every file on a drive along with a bunch of other info if you want it. There are check off boxes for selecting the info you want.
Here is the link: http://www.karenware.com/powertools/ptdirprn.asp
Scroll down to the Download place and download Karen's Directory Printer

Before you do anything else, see NOTE at bottom. Once that is organized, follow the steps below:

To print your Playlist songs:
Select Save To Disc tab at top

Under Select a Folder, find your folder which contains your playlists. That is the WMP Playlists folder as per the NOTE.
Click on that folder

Under Save Options,
Check Both Files and Folders and Search Sub-Folders

Under File Info:
Have only File Name checked

Under Folder Info:
Have only Folder Name checked

Under Formatting:
Check both boxes

Click Save to Disc button at bottom left.
A Print Directory to file window will come up.
WMP PLaylists should be in File Name.
Click Save

It will go back to the previous panel.
Click again on Save to Disc and the Print Directory to file window will come back.
Right click on WMP Playlists and click Open
Your list should come up.
Then go to File and Print.

NOTE: With regards to your playlists on the Windows Media Player, make sure you have the folders from where your songs come from properly titled and organized. For example, have main folder titled WMP Playlists. Inside that folder have separate folders with your playlist mp3s. Title those folders Playlist 1, Playlist 2, etc.

If you run into problems let me know and I'll help you out.

Is there an advantage for having this on paper? for DJ or Karaoke maybe? 10,000+ tunes on here I hate to know I needed all this on paper

Some folks still like a hard copy of certain things. It's nice to have the option.

Thanks Gary,

I will try this. I just like to have a hard copy so I can see what I have and not duplicate it.

It works really well. Keep in mind that your lists will all be stored on your computer and you can refer to them at any time.
