This singer was born in the state where eight U.S. presidents were born.
She is no longer with us.

She was in a medical facility when a song she had recorded was a hit.
That IS NOT the quiz song.

The quiz song was released in the early 60s.
It shares a word that is in the title of another song that she did very well with a couple of years later.

1. Who is the singer?
2. What is the song?

Hint #1 - 3Dec: You will know her by her stage name. Her real first name has something in common with the state she was born in.

Not Jean Shepard bassy9.
Jean was born in Oklahoma and she is still living. The singer I am looking for is from the U.S. state where eight presidents were born. Good time for Mr. Google to help you out, lol.

Patsy Cline (September 8, 1932 – March 5, 1963), born Virginia Patterson Hensley - Crazy [1962] or Crazy Arms [ last recording session 7 Feb 1963]

Maybe it was 'I Fall to Pieces' 1961

Yes, we are not into American Politics, conventions or otherwise, we are into American Country Music - can't tie it altogether.

It is 7.20 am on Monday here - what is your time over there?

It is 5:36 pm in Nova Scotia.

If you do some Googling you might find out the political convention story behind the song in Quiz 41.
I am 100% certain that you and your hubby have heard it and a lot of other songs by the singer.
I'mm also sure your hubby has played it.
