My chord /tab request!

I am a great fan and admirer of Hank Snow for many years here in Australia. Can anyone help me with accurate tab/chords of this early song in his career?I heard an old farm worker sing this song one night in response to hearing an old 78 version around a campfire when I was 10 or so years old in the 1970's.I've sadly lost all my music note pads and recently in a house move. I've tried to play it from memory but it doesn't sound right.I can't find anything on the net that would really help. Thanks MikeH.

Hank Snow The Prisoned Cowboy lyrics

[D] Kind folks you have heard the story
[A] And the song called Twenty One [D]Years
All of how two lovers parted
[A] Of their sorrow, pain and [D] tears.

[G] I am another who’s heart-[D]-broken
[G] And I’m in this lonesome [D] jaaa-[A]-il
[D] I was once an honest ranger
[A] Tried for fame but soon I [D] failed.

[D] I was a cowboy singer
[A] And I played the old gui-[D]-tar
But my mind was set on roaming
I [A] started out for lands a-[D]-far.

[G] Soon fell with bad com-[D]-panions
[G] And we robbed the Southern [D] maaa-[A]-il
[D] Shot and killed some helpless lady
[A] As I think my face grows [D] pale.

[Yodels]

[D] I had a pretty sweetheart
[A] And she thought the world of [D] me
But we parted at the station
[A] Down in sunny Tennes-[D]-see.

[G] Last night from her I got a [D] letter
[G] Saying, “I can never be your [D] briii-[A]-de.”
[D] As the moon shone though my window
[A] I bowed down my head and [D] cried.

[D] Never more we’ll stroll together
[A] Down in dear old Lover’s [D] Lane
I must live my life in prison
I [A] pray on high we’ll meet ag-[D]-ain

[Yodels]

Mike, I fixed some words (in your post above) to match what he is singing. You can throw in some A7s where the As are... whatever sounds best to you.
