I've been a lifelong music fan - first concert I went to was Donna Fargo and have pretty much been to everyone's shows I can think of. In 1999 I became disillusioned with what was being played on mainstream radio - it was no longer country music and had become more pop and that's not what I wanted to hear. A friend of mine had an extra ticket to see Hank Williams III at Gruene Hall. At that show, I resolved to find "that" kind of music. Passionate, driven, performed by Independent artists. That led me to Bruce Robison, Bleu Edmondson, Slaid Cleaves, Stoney Larue, Jason Boland and so many more. I also play guitar and tab songs at another website as well as write songs and so open mics. In 2005, a group of us opened www.ourtracks.com - a digital delivery music site that offers downloads...we're like ITunes...but for cool people. Go check out some of the music we have - I have found that there were better songs at an open mic than there were on regular radio and with today's music, I am further convinced that it is true...
