Shade Tree Mechanic from 70's era
This song was performed by a female country singer. It contains the folowing words:
He's a shade tree mechanic and he seldom looks at me.
He spends his time with that old car beneath that old oak tree
And every time it sputters he goes into a panic
Oh, why, Oh why did I fall for a shade tree mechanic.
I'ld like the lyrics, tabs or an mp3 if possible. Thanks!

Gary,
I will send you another version if you will adjust also. I believe this is the original version that I heard in the 70's. (Wait! that can't be! I am not that old! lol )

Hey Phil! You know I was still old in the 70s. I think I was born old, lol
I fixed the version you sent and you can pass it along if you think it sounds okay.
Cheers!

Thanks for the extra work guys to prep this song for me. I got it tabbed out and ready for practice on Wednesday evening. My sweet-voiced 10 YO niece is gonna flip her 80 YO Grandma out completely: She's the lady who sings at all the local jams and I KNOW she's not expecting this. You guys really helped with a fabulous surprise for her Birthday Party on June 12th. My sincerest thanks. I'll update the results on the 13th: thanks again! PS- Gary, I'm from Miramichi NB. If you're ever passin' through here, email me so we can face to face.
