Question Pls help me with this old song

For the life of me I can't remember this song! It's about an elderly man who takes flowers (roses?) to his wife's grave up on a hill. Something about how he will love her forever. I thought is was by Roy Clark but I've searched Amazon and can't find it.

    It's making me crazy!

All that strikes me now is "A DAISY A DAY" by JUD STRUNK. ALso "SAM HILL" by TOMMY COLLINS. But there is also another that you might be thinking of, but it escapes me right now.

I already downloaded it from Amazon but thanks anyhow.

Here's another one I can't remember ..... It's a female singer - probably 1970s (?) - singing about how her husband always cashes his check at the bar so she's decided in order to get him to come home she will put peanuts/sawdust on the floor, cash his check, dress sexy, etc.

    It was a great song!

That's the song - once again I checked it out on Amazon. Now I could be wrong but I swear it was a female singer and Amazon has nothing but males in the MP3 list.

    You guys are the best!

I've been attempting to download some old songs that I remember (relive my youth?) - like - Put Another Log on the Fire, Carroll County Accident, Phantom 309 (Red Sovine!), Thank God & Greyhound You're Gone, I'll Be True To You, etc. Great songs!
