    Hi Mando,
This song was written by Mississippi John Hurt.

I used a youtube video for the Be Good Tanya's version to get the chords: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqHBwyWoVGU

Nobody Cares For Me as done by Be Good Tanyas

    Capo 2nd fret

    [A]/// /// /// ///
    [A]/// /// /// ///

    CHORUS
    [A] Lonesome is I, I [D] wished I could [A] die
    Nobody cares for [E] me
    [A] Lonesome is I, I [D] wished I could [A] die
Nobody [E] cares for [A] me

It was a bright moon light night, the [D] moon shining [A] bright
When you and I made [E] love
    Your [A] heart wasn't true, I'll [D] say unto [A] you
    I moaned like a [E] turtle [A] dove

    CHORUS

[A] I'm coming home, [D] no more to [A] roam
    Darlin', I'm coming [E] home
I'm [A] coming home, [D] no more to [A] roam
    Darlin', I'm [E] coming [A] home /// ///

    [A]/// /// [D]/// [A]/// /// /// [E]/// ///
    [A]/// /// [D]/// [A]/// /// [E]/// [A]/// ///

[A] Down in the pasture where the [D] birds are [A] singing
You can't hear nothing but what the birds are [E] saying
[A] Down in the pasture where the [D] birds are [A] singing
You can't hear nothing but what the [E] birds are [A] saying

It was a bright moon light night, the [D] moon shining [A] bright
When you and I made [E] love
    Your [A] heart wasn't true, I'll [D] say unto [A] you
    I moaned like a [E] turtle [A] dove

    CHORUS
