    Quiz #14

This singer, who is no longer with us, was born in Florida before 1920. He was a member of the Grand Ole Opry for almost half a century.
He recorded the quiz song, which mentions a whippoorwill, in the early 60s.

Who is the singer and what is the song title?

Sparky, That's not the singer or the song. The singer is not a bluegrass singer.
