Quiz #29
This singer was born in the 20s in the “Volunteer State” and raised in “The Birth of Aviation” State. He left us too early.
He had a pretty sweet song in 1949, but that is not the song I am looking for. The song I am looking for came later.
You might have to travel to where they sing the oldest national anthem in the world.
Have you noticed that my quizzes are as much a geography quiz as a music quiz, lol.
Who is the singer and what is the song?

Well holy smack-a-wacky Bassy9, you (or your hubby) and no doubt your friend Mr. Google knocked this one out of the ballpark.
It is indeed George Morgan and "The Little Dutch Girl".
He is, of course, Lorrie Morgan's father and he passed away at only 51 from a heart attack.
Little Dutch Girl can be heard at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=41E4Kwhbex8

No - I did this one myself - Fred was having a 'nanna' nap, but I have a video clip of this one, so I already knew it.
