    Harry S Miller wrote it - I know Tex Moreton has a great rendition of it [best one that I know] and Cisco Houston, but neither of those two were born in Georgia.

    bassy9, Yes! It is Riley Puckett (an early country musician). He was blind due to a childhood accident.
