Who sings this song and what is the name of it?

I have been wanting to know about this song ever since 2004 while watching Brad Paisley's CMT Inside Fame special. A clip of one of his early performances was shown and he was singing the song and this is the lyric line that he was shown singing: "I moved out west with dreams as big as a wide open place."

I know that the song was originally done by a male singer, but I don't remember who and I don't know the name of the song. If anyone knows about this song, I would so appreciate it if you'd please tell me about it because I remember hearing it on the radio back when I was between 5 and 10 years old. I just hit 30 last month.

God bless you and Brad always!!!

    ^^^ You're not.

The song that I am looking for was done first by a male singer and I believe that the song is from the late 80s/early 90s.

    God bless you always!!!

^^^ In order to do that, we have to know either the name of the song or the name of the singer who sings it and we don't know either one. What I tell about in the first message of this chat is sadly all that I have to go on.

    God bless you always!!!
